Allergies

It is important that both our staff and the nursery staff have a great working relationship and communicate at all levels to ensure the food safety for all children. Very strict procedures are in place to ensure that all children who have allergies have their meals separated from others with their names being clearly marked on the container to prevent cross contamination.

The health, safety and specific needs of our consumers is always at the forefront of our minds, and we are mindful of the fact that children can go through various stages of food sensitivity as their tastes and bodies develop.

We cater for individual Religious and Cultural requirements as well as dietary and allergen needs. All you have to do is let us know and we will have our chef design appropriate, similar alternatives for each child.

As a general rule we insist that all Nursery Managers provide us with an up-to-date list of known allergens from the consumer group. This must be provided before our service commences for the first time and periodically as you become aware of any new instances on a weekly basis. This should be confirmed via email no later than Thursday by 5pm, prior to the new week commencing.

Below is an example of our labelling system. Each allergen request will follow this same format. Which will include:

  • Nursery Name

  • Child's Name

  • Meal

  • Allergens (Highlighted in Yellow)
